MOUNTAIN VISTAS TOUR

Between Albuquerque and Santa Fe lies a magical land of amazing high vistas and beautiful hidden valleys. From views that reveal some of the highest peaks in central New Mexico to basins painted with the sands of ages past, the Mountain Vistas tour instills a sense of awe and inspiration. Here, wild horses, whose ancestors arrived with the Spanish in the 1500’s, roam across the landscape. Pottery shards and petroglyphs reveal the presence of the Ancestral Puebloan in days long past. Geological wonderlands of painted desert, beautiful formations, and petrified wood beg exploration. Outcroppings of sandstone containing sea life fossils point to a time when the area was covered in ancient oceans, and Eocene deposits conceal the bones of giant Brontotherium.

3 HOUR TOUR: Tour includes Ancestral ruin, painted desert, petrified wood and beautiful vistas.

4 HOUR TOUR: Add petroglyphs, sea shell fossils and an additional painted desert area to the 3 hour tour -OR- add a slot canyon hike with sea life fossils (1 mile round trip on level ground) to the 3 hour tour

6 HOUR TOUR: -INCLUDES LUNCH- Extend the 5 hour tour by visiting the “Old Stone House” ruin and hunting for seabed fossils and shark teeth, and/or hike into the painted desert near the petroglyphs.

A $50 DEPOSIT will be required to secure tour reservation. Deposits will be subtracted from the total cost when payment is taken at the end of your tour. Deposits will be refunded if tour is cancelled due to weather. Deposits will also be refunded if cancellation is requested by customer MORE THAN 24 HOURS IN ADVANCE of tour start time.
