All of our tours have a driver/guide who drives the Jeep. When you book a tour, you will be a passenger in the Jeep and will not be driving a vehicle.

We can currently take up to 15 people on a tour using our two Jeep Wranglers and our Safari Van.

Unfortunately, we cannot allow dogs on our tours due primarily to liability issues and the potential for the dog to be injured.

No, we don’t offer ATV tours. Trip Advisor has us listed under a category that includes “4WD, ATV & Off-Road Tours”. In order to be included in 4WD and off-road tours, we’re stuck with ATV too. Sorry for any confusion this causes.

We have restroom stops at both the beginning and end of the tours, but if a bush is not your idea of a rest stop during the tour, we do have a portable potty.

For those who do not wish to hike, we can cater the Jeep tour to your needs. While some of the destinations listed in the tour descriptions require hiking to see, there are alternate destinations that require little or no hiking. For those wishing only to ride, we can take you to some amazing places with beautiful scenery without ever setting foot outside the Jeep.

Depending on the time of year, the sun can be pretty intense as we’re over a mile high with low humidity. Either wear clothes that cover you up, or slather on the sunscreen. Closed toe and heel shoes are definitely recommended for keeping cactus and rocks from harming your feet.

We provide chilled, bottled water and snacks, but if you want to bring your own favorite beverage that is fine. If anyone has a snack allergy then bringing your own snack is a good idea.

The Jeeps arrive at your pick up location covered so that highway travel does not ruin our perfect Jeep tour guide hairdo. But when we hit the trail, you have the option to take the top down to enjoy the sun and air. If you change your mind we will put the top back on if it gets too cold or too warm.

Yes, we understand that the 4 and 5 hour tours might run into the lunch hour, so you are free to bring food. Keep in mind that if it needs refrigeration, your lunch must fit into the cooler storing the water, so don’t bring a four course meal.

No, unless you are willing to allow a single rider to travel with you. Sometimes people choose to do this so that they can take advantage of the group discount rate.

We do provide a “single rider” rate for each of our tours, but if the rate is more than you wish to pay, we can try to pair you up with a tour that is booked during the time you have available. It’s kind of like flying “stand by”. Occasionally we can find either another single rider or a tour with 2 people on it who would like to take advantage of our group rate by adding another rider. Of course, there is no guarantee that you will be able to join another tour, and you have to be flexible with your plans.

Yes, as we get to know you and your interests we take the trails we believe will be the most enjoyable for you. If there is anything that you wish to see, let us know so we can accommodate your interests, provided we have the time to accommodate. Please realize that the shorter hour tours limit the places we can reach and explore.

We see wild horses on almost every tour, but, since they are wild, we cannot guarantee that we will see them.

Our wild horses are never fed for two reasons. First, it can be hard on their digestion. Some horses have died from eating foods they are not used to. Second, these are wild, feral horses that would gladly bite or hit you to get what they want. These horses are not tame or domesticated, and they live in the desert wilderness fighting other horses for domain day in and day out. Your safety is more important than feeding the horses.

Yes of course. We understand that when reservations are made sometimes you are not sure you will like the tour or you may not be feeling well on the day of the tour. Usually we end up extending tour times as our customers realize the full potential of our service. We experience tours that were booked for 3 hours but extended to all day. We can only extend if there are no other tours scheduled.

We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover and cash.

Payment is usually taken at the end of the tour. This is because some guests decide to extend or shorten the tour. Tips can be added to the credit card bill if you prefer. (Refer to Can we extend or shorten the tour? and Should we tip? And what amount?)

Tipping is completely at your discretion. We never ask for a tip and believe tips should be given only if you truly believe the service provided is more than expected. If you believe your guide performed above and beyond his/her job, then tips are appreciated. Do not feel obligated to tip and whatever amount of tip should be what you feel comfortable with. We will never suggest that you tip.

YES! We like to cater. So if there is something you want to see, photograph, hike to or explore, please let us know.

You are not allowed to remove any artifacts from the sites we visit. It is against the law and unethical to take artifacts from historic sites. Many of these artifacts date back hundreds to thousands of years and are vitally important to archaeology. Please visit our Ethics page for more information

Yes. We do have pricing for children 17 and under, and we have even taken infants. But we do not have booster seats or infant restraint seats, so these need to be provided for your children. We will not transport any children without the proper restraints. In addition, we have cactus, stickers, sharp rocks etc…that maybe foreign to your children. Therefore we request that you help us watch them carefully to make sure they are safe by holding their hand or carrying them. Also no children are allowed to take a tour without a parent or legal guardian.

We take the bumps very lightly on all tours. We will make an extra effort to slow down and create any unnecessary jarring or bumping. If you have a medical condition that requires that you not bump around too much, then we suggest you not take the tour.

It all depends. Some people are more susceptible to altitude sickness than others. Our tours take place in the “high desert” at about 6,000 ft. So don’t be surprised if you feel winded. This is completely normal, and we promise to move slowly to accommodate the altitude change.

Lunch is included on the 6- and 7-hour tours; you order it in advance with our lunch menu order form. The shorter tours do not include lunch.
